• Emphasis on inexpensive receiver/LNB
• High bit rate (up to 32Mbps)

Inbound

• Random access, transmitter bursts as required to communicate with the hub
• Emphasis on inexpensive modulator
• Medium bit rate (up to 2Mbps, with large scale VSAT)
